60s brazilian pop

A week late, but back to the Brazilian 60s thread. Of possible interest (at least to those already paying attention to this frayed thread) is a reissued LP (on the Whatmusic label) by Os Pilantrocratas: "Pilantrocracia". Not sure of the original release date, but I'm pretty sure it's late 60s. Supposedly part of "piracy" ("pilantragem") movement which mixed every influence imaginable, but I just keep hearing this as clubby take on Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass, chunky piano lines pushing the bass and beat along, and with a Brazilian flair. Not bad at all. I'm pretty sure I listened to some samples on whatmusic.com before I bought it at a local shop.
